Turning your inspiration into a sweet creation is a personal and interactive process. Although there is a process, there are no hard and fast rules. The free flow of ideas, facts and feelings are essential to bringing your ideas to life in the form of delicious, homemade cakes and desserts.

First, get to know my Cake Art style and me. This can be done in a variety of ways: this website, in-person, phone conversation  603.446.3838 or email through my contact form. Next, let’s discuss your special occasion and the role of a creative confection. Will the sweet treat be an accent to a simple dinner party, or the centerpiece of a formal event? How many people will it need to serve? Does it need to be simple, elegant, glamorous or whimsical? Will movement or animation be important, or is it best to be subtle and stationary?

Finally, select from the menu below. I offer a variety of flavors, fillings and frostings. I take pride in baking and prefer to use “from-scratch” recipes when possible. Here are some popular choices. If you don’t see what you’re looking for, feel free to ask. Chances are I can find a way to create it especially for you!

Specialty Cakes

  • Italian Cream Cake – Moist buttermilk cake blended with coconut and toasted pecans and frosted with rich cream cheese frosting.
  • Dr Pepper Texas Chocolate Cake – This cake originates from the Dinosaur Bar B Que in Syracuse NY. It is very moist, dense chocolate cake paired with a fluffy chocolate buttercream frosting. The cake and frosting are subtly flavored with Dr Pepper.
  • Lemon Daffodil Cake – Layers of tender, white cake filled with lemon curd. I also top the center of the cake with lemon curd and frost the edges and sides with classic buttercream to resemble a daffodil flower.
  • Best Ever Carrot Cake – Traditional, moist, dense carrot cake studded with toasted pecans and Grand Marnier simmered red and white raisins and frosted with classic cream cheese frosting. This cake also tastes wonderful frosted with an orange citrus buttercream.
  • Cannoli Cake – White, tender sponge cake filled with sweetened ricotta cheese which is blended with mini chocolate chips and hints of orange. Vanilla or dark chocolate buttercream pair well with this cake.
  • Peanut Butter Cup – Old fashioned chocolate cake filled and frosted with peanut butter buttercream then glazed with a chocolate ganache
  • Chocolate Raspberry Rhapsody – I found the original recipe in the December 2002 issue of a Colonial Homes magazine. The dark chocolate cake is “lightened” with a raspberry whipped cream filling. The cake is finished with a chocolate buttercream.
  • Black Forest – Layers of chocolate cake filled with cherries and frosted in a vanilla buttercream.
  • Salted Caramel Chocolate Cake – Moist chocolate cake filled and frosted with melt in your mouth salted caramel Italian buttercream
  • Boston Cream Cake –Delicate sponge cake with hints of orange along with the vanilla pastry cream give this classic chocolate ganache glazed cake an Italian flair.
  • Strawberry Whipped Cream Cake – Delicate sponge cake, with a fresh strawberry filling and frosted with sweetened vanilla whipped cream
